CHRISTMAS MARKET 2004 RECAP

by Jayne Picott, Cip Bibby & Sandi Remedios

The Christmas Market 2004 is officially a success!

Thanks so much to all the volunteers who gave so freely of their time, talent and treasure. The new/old format was well received. The food court was filled almost the entire morning with young and old enjoying the fabulous selection of food and drink.

Many of the tables in the Great Hall were sold out prior to lunch being served. Special thanks to all those who helped prepare the meat pies, soup, tourtičres, cakes, pies, muffins, squares, cookies, salmon pies, flavoured vinegars, candies, chocolates, chili, salad, sandwiches, jams, pickles etc. etc.

Once again we were able to offer a wide variety of beautiful hand-crafted items, thanks to the hard work of a small core of very talented volunteers. The Hostess Table provided a beautiful entrance to our Market.

The deposits to date are in the low 20’s which is gratifying. We measure the success of our Market by the funds raised, by the opportunity for fellowship it provides and by our success in reaching out and welcoming the community at large. We have accomplished our goals in all these areas. Once again thank you to all who helped in whatever capacity, we couldn’t have done it without every one of you!
