Baptisms
Which way is your life pointing? In baptism, we declare our intentions publicly to set our compass to God's way and to navigate our lives by the light of Christ. We turn away from the evil that enslaves or degrades what God has created; we turn towards God's promise of abundant living; and we seek the support of the whole Christian community in that journey of faith.
Baptisms are celebrated on Sunday mornings at St. Christopher's, usually at the 9:30 a.m. service, on or close to the following dates
September
All Saints' Day (Sunday closest to November 1)
The Baptism of Jesus (second Sunday in January)
The Sunday after Easter
Pentecost Sunday
All candidates (or their parents) are required to complete an application form and participate in a baptism preparation program (usually two weeknight evenings).
If you are thinking about taking the plunge - for yourself or for your infant children - please contact the Parish Office at Staff or 905-634-1809. Even you're not sure if this is the right thing or the right time, call us and we can talk about it.
