This is how the itinerary read. What a good time we had!
St. Christopher’s Anglican Church Wine Country Experience Saturday, October 18, 2003 Come savour wine country in the historic Niagara Peninsula with other members of our St. Christopher’s family. We will be touring 2 of the regions best wineries, Cave Spring Cellars at Jordan Village and Chateau des Charmes in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Our tour also allows time to visit the boutiques, art galleries and antique shops in historic Jordan Village. Our day will conclude with dinner at Betty’s Restaurant in Chippawa. Please plan to join us for fun and fellowship.
Itinerary 12:15 PM Bus Departs St.Christopher’s Church:1:15 PM Arrive At Cave Spring Cellars:This Tour follows the path of the grape from the vineyard through the cellar to the finished wine. You will see the inner workings of the winery and learn about winegrowing, fermentation and barrel aging. Afterwards, enjoy tastings of Cave Springs VQA wines.2:15 PM Visit Jordan Village:Time to visit Jordan Village. The Village of Jordan is one of Ontario’s first Mennonite settlements. It’s prominence in it’s day is reflected by some of the fine residences that still dot Main Street. In addition, Jordan’s revitalization has added boutiques, art galleries and antique shops to wander
through. 3:00 PM Depart:3:30 PM Arrive at Chateau des Charmes:A tour of the Chateau includes a guided winery tour with tastings from Chateau Des Charmes estate bottled, Paul Bosc and St. David’s Bench
vineyard collection. The tastings will be accompanied by a selection of premium aged Balderson cheddar, pate, biscuits and fresh fruits.
5:00 PM Depart:5:45 PM Arrive at Betty’s Restaurant, Dinner:
